Classic Car Insurance

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Deluxe Cars, MotorBike, Supercars

Is it worth having a car that looks gorgeous, feels superior to the characterless models of today and will make you feel like a king of the road when it costs the earth to insure? If you do some research and find an insurance company who have a background in classic cars rather than one who would treat your pride and joy as just another car, it might mean the best of both worlds.

Lots of sites out there offer expert and specialist advice for all types of classic vehicle, from more modern to vintage. They even offer schemes that are not available anywhere else, if you do your homework. Cars that are over fifteen years of age are considered ‘classic’ and if this applies to you, a specialist may be what you’re looking for. Again, shop around and use comparison websites to ensure you get the best deal possible for the lowest price you can in order to secure cheap car insurance. There are loads of competitive companies in the UK and most will take things like age, condition and location into consideration.

There are also various policies available for older models and also for older drivers. Shop around for quotes and see if there is something to suit you and bear in mind that there are special deals on insurance for women, as well as small vans and non-comprehensive insurance. Insurance companies for the over fifties offer policies to suit all budgets for those drivers that meet their requirements. Competitive prices ensure you are covered and have peace of mind without having to re-mortgage the house or empty your savings account.

Classic cars do not need to cost any more to insure than a modern vehicle would, as long as you research thoroughly and make sure you are getting the best deal possible.

Luxury Motoring in the Modern World

Must See: Allianz Insurance

——————————————————————————————————————————–

In these days of financial belt-tightening and environmental concerns, the idea of buying a luxury car might be derided by many. Powerful cars use lots of petrol and cost large amounts of money. Can this really be justified any more? Many people are turning to smaller and more practical cars, which cost little to run and are easy to drive and park. The Smart Car, for example, released in 2008, was seen by many as the future of motoring: stripped down, small and practical.

So, does all this mean that the age of the luxury car is over? Not at all. While developments in ecologically friendly city cars are certainly welcome and may well be the future of mass-market motoring, the luxury end of the market stands apart. Luxury cars are about aspiration and dreams, about creating something that is as good as it can possibly be. Luxury cars push the boundaries of what is possible. To compare cars with air travel, the much loved Concorde was developed to be the fastest and most advanced plane in use. It never served the majority of consumers, who travelled on more practical, cheaper aircraft, but it was universally admired and seen as an important technological achievement. The same is true of luxury cars. It is part of being human to want to strive for the best.

So, what if you want to see some of these feats of human achievement for yourself? Most of us won’t be buying a luxury car to do the school run or go to the supermarket any time soon, however that doesn’t mean we’d pass up the chance to try a luxury drive once in while by hiring one. A road trip in a luxury car would make a perfect holiday for anyone interested in cars. A trip through the breathtaking scenery of the Alps or a road trip Los Angeles along the world-famous Route 66 might just fit the bill.

How to Buy a Luxury Car On a Budget

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Deluxe Cars, MotorBike, Supercars

Fancy, top-of-the-line luxury cars, these diamonds on four wheels are the dreams of many and are usually a symbol of freedom, status and success. The majority of those people don’t necessarily have the excess cash to buy one of these vehicles without a second thought though. What do you do if you want (or need) one of these cars but are currently on a nickel-and-dime budget? Read on to find out.

Everyone Wants to Drive Fancy Cars

People all have their own reasons for wanting to upgrade from their current means of transportation to one of these fine examples of automobile engineering: some people just want to feel like successful big-shots, some need a more professional image to reflect their current position and status, some just want the best in comfort and performance. A lot of these people are juggling outrageous plans to try and get their dream car, mortgages, loans and restrictive lifestyles are all possibilities for those bent on getting their hands on one of these cars.

The good news is that you don’t need to put your house on the line, get into (huge) debt with the bank or change your life completely to get behind the wheel of one of these cars. If you are looking to ride with the big boys, here is an excellent choice that will let you join the luxury car owner’s club without spending over USD 30,000.

The Acura TSX

Representing an achievement in high-end quality and looks for a low-end budget, the TSX is a fantastic car that has been overlooked by many (people who are most likely obsessed with Lamborghini driving). Perks and features are the name of the game when it comes to the TSX and this car offers almost every available option you can think of, including a voice-controlled navigation system that blows some of those USD 200,000 BMWs out of the water. Another strong point is that the enhancement list for the Acura TSX goes hand in hand with its low price proposition and contains no items that will break the bank.

The TSX includes a powerful 2.4 litre, in-line four-cylinder engine that roars to the tune of 205 horsepower for a reasonable fuel consumption. The powerful engine does not go overboard on the gas as the TSX achieves a 31 mpg on the highway creating inexpensive driving experiences. You will enjoy the speed and low consumption from the comfort of well-built seating and easy to read gauges while your companions will be grateful for the ample leg space.

2009 Peugeot SR1 Concept

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Deluxe Cars

Through the Peugeot SR1 Concept, the Marque reveals the stylistic design trends for its future models. The concept car embodies the new world of Peugeot, reflected by the new Lion badge which adorns its body.

Dynamic, balanced, sensual, with an exclusive high-tech interior, this “dream car” explores and reinterprets the theme of the “Grand Touring Car”.

The use of HYbrid4 technology allows the Peugeot SR1 to offer an engineering specification in keeping with its styling: 230 kW (313 bhp) with emissions of only 119 g/km of CO2 (0 in electric mode), 4 wheel drive and steering…. for an ideal blend of excitement and efficiency.

Styling

Elegance, purity, dynamism, allure, controlled power… these ideas find their fullest expression with the Peugeot SR1 Concept, the dream car par excellence.

More than ever, the aesthetic traits of this concept show the general design trends of the Marque’s future products, renewing Peugeot’s strong stylistic identity.

The Peugeot SR1 Concept is a vehicle with timeless, ideal proportions, revisiting the great traditions of grand touring cars of the past: a large bonnet, flowing wings and a very low centre of gravity.

The design of the body gives the car a new balance: a sculpted bonnet, sweeping sides and a chiselled rear design. At the side the styling lines merge into the side windows and the front windscreen, emphasising the design of the bonnet.

This overall effect blends easily with the design detailing: the design of the lights and the air intakes, the shape of the door mirrors… these elements merge seamlessly with the vehicle’s carbon “skin”. In parallel, some features (“full LED” internal headlamp functions, radiator grille contour); stand out, as if suspended.

The hard top echoes the feel of this intense, high-tech assembly: It uses preformed profile technology derived from the world of sailing. It blends with the body, creating the illusion of a Coupé. The Peugeot SR1, however, radiates the same visual strength, with or without the hard top.

Finally, the Peugeot SR1 Concept displays the new Peugeot Lion badge. Redesigned, finely worked and sculpted, it mirrors perfectly the perception of the vehicle as a whole.

Overall the Peugeot SR1 concept car gives the impression it has been carved from a solid block of material, monolithic, protective, sculptural and dynamic. At every moment it makes a great play on contrasts: purity and technological sophistication, authenticity and advanced technologies, expressiveness and understatement. making it a car that is quite simply. desirable!

“2+1″ interior

The interior, too, promotes the idea of contrast. While the driver’s seat and all controls are dedicated to out-and-out enjoyment for the driver, the passenger compartment is designed to provide optimum versatility and new sensations for all its occupants.

There is room in the vehicle for three people as the third rear seat nestles in the middle, behind the two front seats. Entry to this seat is facilitated by the centre console, which can slide forward to improve access.

The interior ambience blends colours and materials, with strong references to “a past motoring era” combined with “the latest advanced technology”. Inside the vehicle, patinated leather and different grained wood are examples of the use of authentic and natural materials, warm, sensual and charged with history, that blend seamlessly with, “high tech” materials such as nickel and satin-finished chrome.

The construction of the fascia panel, optimised to perfection, gives a visual prominence to certain mechanical components such as the steering column and a number of peripheral controls. Similarly, the instrumentation combines analogue and digital read-outs, giving clear emphasis to every item of information conveyed to the driver. This is the case for instantaneous fuel consumption and vehicle range, displayed on two glass crystal gauges directly in front of the driver.

Another technological innovation is the creation of an exclusive wristwatch, designed in partnership with Bell&Ross®. This timepiece, with milled inserts of solid aluminium, slots perfectly into a dedicated housing on the fascia panel.

Citroen New Car: green sub-brand

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Deluxe Cars

According to an unnamed “insider,” Citroen is considering launching a separate brand just for eco-friendly vehicles. Earlier this year, the quirky French automaker announced a new high-end brand that would bring premium features to its existing vehicle platforms. Similarly, the first production vehicle under the green brand would echo the C-Cactus concept from the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 but be built atop the automaker’s C4 platform.

Expect some innovative uses of materials, as previewed on the C-Cactus project, along with a fuel-saving powertrain of some sort. Options include going fully electric, using a hybrid powertrain or using a small three-cylinder diesel engine that would put out less than 100 g/km of carbon emissions. Sounds great, but let’s just hope they don’t keep too much of the melted-candle look of the concept.
